Orange Bay Speedboat Day Trip

Skip the slow boat and skip the crowd. This is a private speedboat just for your group, up to eight guests, so the whole boat is yours. It covers the same Red Sea route in roughly half the time, which means more island time and a faster, more comfortable ride. Two daily departures: a morning slot (hotel pickup around 8:30, back at your hotel by 1 PM) and an afternoon slot (pickup around 12:30, back at your hotel by 5 PM). Pick the slot that fits your day. A short safety briefing, snacks loaded on board, and the speedboat cruises at around 25 knots toward the Giftun reefs. Your captain often slows down for dolphins on the way. Two reef stops follow, then a stretch on Orange Bay to swim, snorkel from the beach, walk the boardwalks, and ride the famous beach swings. One flat price of 130 euros for the whole boat, whatever your group size up to eight. Optional add-ons like dolphin chasing at Dolphin House or a detour to Magawish Island can be arranged at booking.

Your day, step by step

  1. Morning

    Morning slot · 09:00 to 13:00

    Hotel pickup around 08:30. At Hurghada Marina by 09:00. Speedboat out by 09:15, two reef snorkeling stops on the way, beach time at Orange Bay, back at the marina around 12:30 and at your hotel by 13:00.

  2. Afternoo

    Afternoon slot · 13:00 to 17:00

    Hotel pickup around 12:30. Same full program (two reef stops, beach time at Orange Bay), back at the marina around 16:30 and at your hotel by 17:00. The afternoon slot is usually less crowded.

  3. On board

    Two reef snorkeling stops

    30 to 45 minutes each. Mask, snorkel, and fins handed out. Brief in your language.

  4. Island

    Time at Orange Bay

    Swim the lagoon, walk the boardwalks, ride the famous beach swings.

  5. Bonus

    Dolphin spotting

    Captain often routes through Dolphin House on the way out or back. Bottlenose dolphin sightings are very common but never guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

On calm days, no. On windy days the speedboat is faster and rougher than the shared boat. If you suffer from motion sickness, the shared day boat is gentler.

    Ehrliche Preise, echter Service

    Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern (6 und 9). Schwimmwesten in Kindergröße, kindgerechtes Essen und die Lagune ist perfekt für sie. Die Strandschaukeln sind unvergesslich.

    Znacznie lepiej niż oczekiwałam

    Wart każdego euro. Od odbioru z hotelu o 7:45 punkt do powrotu około 16, wszystko płynęło bez problemu. Dwa przystanki snorkelowe na najwyższym poziomie, a przewodnik mówił po polsku.
